Roulette is an interesting game that started long back in 17th Century France. The translation for play roulette in French is jouer a la roulette, it's also a hugely popular game in Spain where they call it juegos a la ruleta. It didn't take long for it to become one of the most loved casino games in the European continent and USA. A game of Roulette is usually played between 8 people who are guided by a dealer also known as the croupier. The dealer spins the Roulette wheel while the players call their bets and wait till the ball drops in a slot of the wheel.
Generally there are 2 different versions for the Roulette game – one is the French or the European version, usually found in the French casinos en ligne, and the other is the American version. There are 37 slots for 36 numbers and a zero in case of French Roulette. But incase of American Roulette, there are 38 slots on the wheel with 2 zeros.
The dealer at the casino room is also responsible for giving out the wagers and the payouts to the players at the table. The players buy colored chips for bets. Each takes up different color so that the betting chips do not get mixed up. Once the croupier spins the Roulette wheel and puts the ball, the players start calling their bets one by one. Just when the ball is in the motion for settling on a slot, the dealer declares “No more bets” and the players are not allowed to call any further bets or change the previous one. Then the dealer will place his dolly on the winning slot. The owners of the bets that match with the slot number or are around the winning number are considered for cash chips.
Now the players who have won the Roulette game will be given value imprinted cash chips in exchange for the colored chips they were already possessing. These cash chips can be again exchanged for real cash prize when taken to the cash counters of the casino.
Once the dealer has given out the winning chips and cleared the Roulette table of the losing bets, the players can once more start calling their fresh bets.
